Customer Feedback From The Boss Is Back Email

    Chip,
I can't tell you how inspired I am by your commitment, dedication and positive attitude towards the Nursery. I have always loved that place and am thrilled that it lives on through all kinds of adversity. I empathize with your personal challenge of Parkinson's Disease because my mother also has it.

I'm hoping to be able to help you out myself. At a minimum, I will purchase plants from you and encourage all my friends to do so. I would love to learn about propagation and donate some of my time to your projects. I can't make any promises at this time in my life due to my own life challenges, but I'll try very hard to be there.

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

I applaud your commitment to the Food Bank. That's the very best!

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

Thank you for all you do and stand for. Please pass this on to all of the people who are helping keep something beautiful and important alive!

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

I just came back from your nursery and will soon go outside to plant the plants I bought. It is so good to have the nursery back and to be able to find plants we couldn't find any other place

    Dear Chip
Unfortunately,  I seem to have been dropped from your list somehow,  and want to add my name back into the pot now.   Sorry I missed the weekend sale,  but do hope it was a huge success.  I'll be in to hear all about it as soon as I can.

You are doing such a courageous thing,  and I'd be honored to be among the volunteer force if you can use another pair of slightly arthritic,  but willing hands. Plants are my special love,  and they seem to respond well for me most of the time. Typing,  filing,  telephone work,  etc.  might help,  also.   Just let me know.

This is such good news.  I read on Dave's Garden website about the return of "The Boss" Schumacher. Congrats and best wishes! Please add me to your email list if you send out sales info or a newsletters via email.

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

I was very happy to learn that Schumacher's was back. I was not happy about the changes that were happening before. Would you mind checking on the dates and times of the propagation class? According to my calendar, some of the dates given don't correspond to the days of the week given. In any case, if there is a morning class on Tuesday, Sept. 26th, please put me down to attend. Thank you.

    Chip,
Are you back to being the boss at Schumacher’s again?  I surly hope so as all us gardeners have really missed you & your plants.  Hope to see you at the sale this weekend.

    Hi Chip,
I'm available to assist one day a weekend. Please provide more details - dates times location really do love the plants you grow. 99.99999999999 percent they grow when I take them home.  The small percentage is due to neglect on my part. And your pricing is very fair Good luck.  I AM GLAD YOU ARE BACK.  Best of everything to you and your family.

Bye, bye, Bob and welcome back, Boss!!!!

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

Well GOD bless YOU,  ...   and Count me IN on that fundraiser! I survived chemo, surgery, and radiation in my fight against cancer, thanks to the good Lord and good friends, and I TOTALLY agree w/you on counting each and every day as a blessing! You've got the right attitude. And I just read an email today about the gal who wanted a fork put in her hand in her casket to remind everyone that God saves the best for last, and she didn't fear dying (there are a precious few of us who REALLY have been forced to think hard on that subject!) So you're in good hands, and in a good place, mentally/spiritually, it seems. Please. let me know more about that fund raiser, and I'll be in soon to support your nursery.  I've always enjoyed it and most of my plants are there (also because I live behind you in T Bar M!)Keep the Faith!

    Hi Chip,
I'm glad to hear you are back!!!!! And especially that you are participating in what you love doing.  Your attitude and enthusiasm are encouraging. We will most assuredly attend the fundraiser.

    Dear Chip,

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

Glad you are back and God Bless you.

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

HURRAY!  it's great to have you and the nursery back again.  thanks.

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

    Chip,
Thank God you are back.  I have made ONE trip over to Schumacher’s in 5 months.  I did not like the set-up, the lack of plants, the keep-out area...........the lack of friendliness........or......I felt like I was NOT an old friend.  I simply stopped coming over to New Braunfels;   however, I am enjoying all my plants from past years.

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

Thanks for the update and email.  Viva! Chip

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

    Dear Chip:
I am happy you are back but saddened about your Parkinson's disease.  My wife and I came to the nursery in the Spring and were so shocked at the changes in the business.  We stayed only a few minutes, since there was nothing really to see or buy and no one knowledgeable to talk to about plants/propagation, etc. We shall return and hope your new project is successful.

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

    YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

    SEE YOU SOON!!!

    ••••••••••••••••••••••

    Hi, Chip,
My mother and I, who have visited the nursery many times over the past ten years, are incredibly saddened to learn that it will close soon.  I imagine that your personal health is a larger concern right now, and I hope that this change might have the 'silver lining' of helping you personally in your struggle.  Your nursery has served as an important laboratory of sorts for the propagation and introduction of many then-new and significant plant species and varieties into the practice of landscape architecture, and I wonder whether you have maintained records of your experiences.  Any records that you may have would be an invaluable resource for us, and I would like to discuss with you the possibility of sharing those with the school.  I know that spoken communication is difficult at times for you, so please let me know if I can call.  Otherwise, email would be fine.  Thank you so very much for so many exciting years at the nursery.
